Modern Admin Weekly | Issue No.012
Hi — Liz here. 👋🏾
Something that's been on my mind lately is the parallels between a great workplace culture and a great TV show cast.
Think about your favorite series. Friends. Emily in Paris. Or perhaps the viral Amazon series Off Campus (which may be giving away what I've been watching lately).
Great casts take time to build. But once they exist, they don't just create magic on screen. They create an energy you can feel off screen, too.
And I think that should be the goal when job hunting. Yes, get the gig. But also find an amazing cast of characters to build something special with.
Maybe it won't be Emmy-nominated.
But the ROI is rewarding enough.
Food for thought on this sunny Friday in NYC. And, of course, a few roles for you to consider this week.
🔎 How We Curate
Every role featured in Modern Admin meets the following criteria:
🧑🏽💻 Flexibility First — remote and hybrid roles that reflect how modern teams operate
💰 Compensation Transparency — if a company knows their budget, so should you
🤝 Culture Check — we look beyond reviews to assess leadership, tone, and reputation
🗂 Role Integrity — titles should match scope (no inflated or misleading roles)
🗓️ Recency — we prioritize fresh opportunities (~2 weeks)
01. Executive Assistant - Trust & Safety
Spotify
$93K–$133K
Hybrid, NYC | Full-Time
Posted June 2 2026
Executive Assistant roles rarely sit within Trust & Safety, making this an intriguing opportunity for operators who enjoy mission-driven, high-stakes work. You'll support senior leaders navigating complex policy, legal, product, and platform safety issues while serving as a key coordination point across multiple workstreams. Worth noting: The role goes well beyond calendar management, with responsibilities spanning executive communications, briefing materials, project coordination, and operational process improvements. While the position is New York-based, Spotify's hybrid model requires in-person attendance just 1–2 times per month, offering significantly more flexibility than many hybrid roles on the market.
02. Chief of Staff to Chief Legal Officer
Pano AI
$96K–$124K + equity
Hybrid, SF | Full-Time
Posted June 4 2026
Not all Chief of Staff roles are created equal. At Pano AI, you'll support the Chief Legal Officer, whose oversees Finance, Legal, Compliance, Partnerships, Quality, Security, and IT—offering a rare opportunity to gain exposure across multiple business functions within a fast-growing climate tech company. Worth noting: Legal experience isn't required. Instead, Pano is looking for someone with a background in strategy, operations, or consulting who can bring structure to ambiguity, drive cross-functional alignment, and help turn executive priorities into action.
03. Executive Assistant
Offchain
Remote (US) | Full-Time
Posted June 1 2026
Offchain is seeking an Executive Assistant to support its CEO as the company continues to scale within the blockchain and Web3 space. Beyond managing complex schedules, travel, and communications, the role calls for someone who can shape information flow, anticipate needs before they arise, and serve as a trusted partner in helping the CEO operate at their highest level. Worth noting: Offchain is a fully remote company with a global workforce and a culture built around autonomy, deep focus, and technical innovation. The company also invests heavily in bringing employees together through annual offsites and team gatherings—last year's company-wide retreat took place in the Bahamas. 🌴
04. Associate HR Business Partner
Instacart
$104K–$131K
Remote (US) | Full-Time
Posted June 1 2026
Instacart is hiring an Associate HR Business Partner to support employee relations, compensation, performance management, manager coaching, and organizational change initiatives across the business. While the title suggests a more junior role, the scope is notably broader, requiring five years of HR experience and offering meaningful exposure to strategic people work. Worth noting: Many HR postings emphasize policy administration or compliance. This one leans heavily into partnership, with opportunities to coach managers, navigate employee relations matters, and support organizational change at a company known for its flexible work model and fast-paced growth
05. Senior Operations Associate
Headway
$76K–$112K
Remote (US) | Full-Time
Posted June 1 2026
Headway is looking for a Senior Operations Associate to help design, scale, and optimize the operational systems that support more than 75,000 mental health providers nationwide. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and CX teams, you'll help turn complex healthcare workflows into scalable solutions while driving efficiency through automation and process improvement. Worth noting: This role is a particularly strong fit for consultants, operators, or analytically minded problem-solvers who enjoy building systems rather than simply managing them. Headway's mission, strong benefits package, and investment in employee wellbeing—including therapy reimbursement—make it one of the more compelling operations opportunities we've seen recently.
06. Support Operations Manager
Apollo
$138K–$199K
Remote (US) | Full-Time
Posted June 3 2026
Apollo is looking for a Support Operations Manager to own the company's AI-powered customer support strategy, including Intercom, workflow automation, intelligent routing, and chatbot performance. This is less of a traditional support role and more of an operations and systems position for someone who enjoys building processes, leveraging AI, and improving customer experiences at scale. Worth noting: Apollo expects this person to operate with significant autonomy, defining roadmaps, influencing cross-functional priorities, and identifying automation opportunities from the ground up. It's an interesting fit for operators who enjoy turning ambiguity into systems and strategy.
07. HR Generalist
Rebuy
$70K–$80K
Remote (US) | Full-Time
Posted June 1 2026
Few HR Generalist roles offer meaningful exposure to employees across the U.S., Canada, and EMEA. At Rebuy, you'll support everything from employee experience and performance management to international workforce operations while partnering closely with the Director of People Operations. Worth noting: The salary falls below many tech-sector People Ops roles, but the tradeoff is unusually broad exposure for this level. The company also covers 100% of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families—an increasingly rare benefit in today's market.
Culture Calendar by Modern Admin 🌱
If you’re the person planning team moments, improving morale, or trying to make work feel a little more human — Culture Calendar was built with you in mind.
June's Culture Calendar is now live and includes key observances, heritage months, and employee engagement opportunities for the month ahead.
A small thing I’ve been using reading lately
I'm making it a point to balance out my TV consumption with a little reading before bed. (Though based on my recent obsession with Off Campus, results may vary.)
This month's pick is Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke, a novel about a modern woman who suddenly finds herself transported back to the 1800s. Time travel, historical fiction, romance, and an upcoming Anne Hathaway adaptation? Say less.
If you've already read it, hit reply and let me know what you thought. Otherwise, feel free to read along with me this month. (affiliate link)
Until next time, stay modern.
