Modern Admin Weekly | Issue No.010
Hi — Liz here. 👋🏾
Issue #10! It feels like a small milestone worth celebrating.
When I decided to relaunch Modern Admin earlier this year, I mostly just wanted to create the kind of resource I wish had existed for me at the height of my caretaking years. Something a bit more thoughtful, a bit more curated, and definitely a bit more aligned with where modern work is actually evolving.
So thank you for spending part of your Fridays here with me (or your OOO hours, if you prefer a weekend scroll!). I genuinely love combing through opportunities each week to find the gems that I know are most worthy of sharing with this community.
I have so many ideas up my sleeve for where to take this newsletter. One of them being special issues of curated roles based on industry — which I think could be interesting? (You tell me!)
Always feel free to email me with feedback if you’ve applied for a role, interviewed for one, or simply want to say hello! I love hearing from you all.
So, without further ado, let’s get into today’s roundup.
🔎 How We Curate
Every role featured in Modern Admin meets the following criteria:
🧑🏽💻 Flexibility First — remote and hybrid roles that reflect how modern teams operate
💰 Compensation Transparency — if a company knows their budget, so should you
🤝 Culture Check — we look beyond reviews to assess leadership, tone, and reputation
🗂 Role Integrity — titles should match scope (no inflated or misleading roles)
🗓️ Recency — we prioritize fresh opportunities (~2 weeks)

Culture Calendar by Modern Admin 🌱
If you’re the person planning team moments, improving morale, or trying to make work feel a little more human — Culture Calendar was built with you in mind.
This month’s issues are free to read before the newsletter moves to a paid model in June. A good chance to get a feel for what’s coming.
A small thing I’ve been using lately
As someone who spends several hours a day in her home office, I like my space to feel like a bit of a safe haven. Natural light, snacks, and a cozy blanket help — but candles take it to another level. I recently picked up the 2-wick version of Sunday Morning by Brooklyn Candle Studio and am loving the blend of bergamot, jasmine, and amber woods, which makes it feel soft & clean without being overpowering. Sharing here in case your desk could also use a little cozy factor. (affiliate link)
Until next time, stay modern.
